Herbal medicine is a holistic approach that looks for underlying causes of disease and uses an individual blend of whole, organic or wild crafted herbs (teas, tinctures), for healing.
Nicola Cusi has completed her training as a medical herbalist in the College of Phytotherapy in England in 2001. She also is trained in Ayurvedic medicine and uses the energetic model of the four elements for dietary and lifestyle advice.
One to One sessions in Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is an active interaction between therapist and client to adapt postures, breathing techniques and relaxation and awareness exercises to tap into the memory deep in the body tissue to release tension and promote healing. Yoga Therapy is recommended to restore health after surgery, debilitating disease or emotional trauma that does not permit you to join a regular yoga class.
Nicola Cusi has completed the Yoga Teacher Training with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center 1993, the Integrative Yoga Therapy Training in 2000 and continues to study with renowned Yoga teachers such as Angela Farmer and Edward Clark.
Shiatsu
A natural healing art originating in Japan, shiatsu incorporates the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Philosophy of acupressure. (acupuncture without needles) as well as passive body stretches and Anma massage. Shiatsu is done on a chair, table or futon mattress in comfortable loose clothes.
Pan
Pan is a Registered Shiatsu Therapist who trained with the Canadian Acupressure College in Victoria, B.C. Since graduating in 2005 he has been practicing in the Cowichan Valley. |
